Youtube and only youtube is extremely laggy and only on opra. this lag is on everything, clicking, pausing, typing you get the idea. i tried switching the flag thing which worked for a little bit but it went back to being laggy right after.

So I have been using Opera GX for more than 2 years and
Today I faced a big issue where my YouTube is Lagging Whenever I play and video and this is the case with only YouTube, not any other streaming platform

@dreamerx I dont think it is a problem with Opera GX as I have never come accross any problems when trying to watch youtube or any other website, i think it is just a glitch.

I have after updating to 106.0.4998.28
When you go to YouTube, a process appears that loads the CPU.
If you close the browser, this process remains and continues to load

It legit takes me 2 minutes to load in a youtube video

I literally can't use YouTube because it lags so much, and it's only on Opera GX, on chrome YouTube work very smoothly, but on Opera GX it lags. Like when I type it shows a letter after like 2 seconds and when I watch it goes on 480p and when I change to 1080p it waits for no reason. YouTube worked like a few days ago, but now it works like I had an internet connection of 10mb/s (but I have like 200mb/s) and Intel Pentium 10 (I have i5-10400F)

Just drop this browser : considering the abysmal reply rate from the devs or even moderation on support forums , I'll give them the same amount of attention they give us: zero .
Reverted back to Firefox and I'm quite happy: everything works perfectly, nothing lags like mad for no reason .
I see no reasons why I would miss Opera

Same here.
Not only that but many media files now lack video, only playing audio, and youtube even tells me , sometimes, that my browser can not play the video.

They (opera) did 'f up something recently , for sure.

Hi,
I experienced the same exact problem since the last 2 updates the youtube is making my browser so hard to control
fix will help alot
