Why do extensions/adblockers of any kind don't function on google?

Nothing seems to affect the main site... whereas on edge I can block elements, in opera/gx nothing happens when that is tried.

@seyferts Yep, extensions need to be enabled to work in search engines. Check the extensions manager page.

Because its different for both opera and google. so try on opera.
