CTRL shortcuts, tabs acting up, and more.

I noticed that my entire browser began acting up out of the blue. Here are some of the issues I'm facing. I apologize if this is a dumb topic to post about, but I'm really not that Internet savvy. Any help (as quick as possible, as I use this laptop for work) will be greatly appreciated.

CTRL Commands.
Such as CTRL + A, CTRL +C, you get the drill. They simply do not work. -
Unwanted Text Selection.
Upon clicking the left mouse button, specially over the over the related searches drop-down field, it doesn't open the link but instead highlights it. I'm not about the exact name, but it's that field on Google search engine where you may click on a drop-down suggested search prompt to view a highlighted part of a site. The link simply does not open, and is highlighted/selected. -
Annoying Windows
Every search I make opens a new window. Not a new tab, a whole separate window. Same thing happens when I try to open a link. I first noticed this while binge watching a YouTube playlist, where after clicking the "next video" button, the following video in question would open up in a while different window instead of in the same one, and right next to the currently active tab.
I've also had issues with a few keys on my keyboard acting up and not quite typing the letter I was pressing. This was solved by messing around with Input Language settings, but was by far the only problem I've found a solution for on the web.
