I was looking for a meme template earlier today and it routed me to duckduckgo instead of google which is my primaray search engine

It uses google for most things without issue but this search result seems to make it use duckduck go. Ill send some images below.

I have tried restarting my browser several times aswell as switching my primary search engine then restarting then switching it back to google but this issue continues to pop up

@inferion1 As said, it's because you are using a D in the beginning of the search terms and D is the trigger for searching with DDG as you can see in opera://settings/searchEngines

Always type g and a space before your search terms and you'll be good. But, you really only need to do it when what you're searching for starts with another search engine's shortcut.

Is there any way to turn that feature off, I feel like it would be inconvenient to type g before all my searches
