Use a different PDF plugin. I have the same problem with the FoxIt PDF plugin in Opera and Chrome but the Chrome plugin works fine in both Opera and Chrome.

        I just tried it too.
Opera 25.0.1614.50 printing with PDFcreator 1.7.3 and opening in Acrobat 9.5.5 Pro Extended

Yes the text is not selectable but for me, atleast the font looks ok.

You can work around this issue easily:
Opera does have "Save as PDF"-functionality built-in so you don't even need PDFCreator or alike:

          1. Press Ctrl+P or choose "Print..." in OMenu to open print preview
          2. click "Change..." in the destination field
          3. Choose "Save as PDF"

Screenshot and upload to imgur and embedding image with Markdown ![](URLTOIMAGE) ; see http://daringfireball.net/projects/markdown/syntax#img

@christoph142 Oh yes, tht creates PDF which text is selectable and non-garbled 🙂 Thanks for the Workaround.

Not happening here. Save as pdf is not an option under Print nor does it appear under Save As.

Save as PDF works in Opera 26 Stable.

                    Ctrl P
                    Destination Change...
                    Save as PDF

As I pointed out in my thread that was closed,

                      https://forums.opera.com/topic/6777/save-as-pdf-issues/3

I'm using Opera 25. Will look for Opera 26.

EDIT: Opera 26 now installed, get this message: Opera does not include the PDF viewer which is required for print preview to function.

Found a PDF viewer extension but installing it made no difference.

You do not need a PDF viewer extension!
Open opera://plugins/ and activate Chrome PDF Viewer

@ho72 You can uninstall the PDF viewer extension. You don't need it.
You're suffering from a little bug (that's fixed already, but didn't get distributed yet).
Turn off Opera Turbo for the time being to get rid of this error :ninja:

                            That did it. Thanks.

@ho72 You can turn Turbo back on. Today's update should have fixed your printing issue

No, it did not. Version info: 26.0.1656.32 - Opera is up to date
