So I confirmed this happens in Opera, and not chrome, even after a reboot. For some reason, there seems to be some level of stutter, lag, where the previous picture keeps interceding with the last, happens on youtube, happens in HBO, netflix, and other sites. I'm sure this'll be fixed soon enough, but I had to post this just in case you're not aware. Happened only since today. for the meantime, I must watch videos on chrome.A

I have same problem.
Only in opera, not other browsers and not desktop video player.
Eg this video: https://img.joemonster.org/upload/szh/2045038d854627aDzieci_sa_slodkie_i_.mp4 plays in my opera like that: https://lkn.pl/operaVideoBug.MOV -

Go to - opera://flags/#platform-h264-decoder-in-gpu
Find the line where it says Out-of-process SW H.264 decoding - set to disable, videos should be playing fine -

@gchmiel Yep exactly like that, workaround from digic972 worked for me.

And of cource Opera removed this flag. The setting isn't available. The video stutter/lag is back again

@landspeed Adjust the Angle flag for your GPU to see if it helps.
Also, if you have more than one GPU (one built into your CPU and a discrete one for example), in settings in Windows, goto System -> Display -> Graphics, add opera.exe to the list and set it to use the better GPU.

@landspeed I couldnt find the flag at first but manually I searched it and disabled this 'VideoToolboxVideoDecoder as platform SW decoder' It worked for me. Idk If they changed the name for the flag but try this one.

@taffercharles You can try clearing your cache and disabling hardware acceleration in Opera's settings to reduce stutter and lag. If the issue persists, consider reinstalling Opera or using Chrome temporarily for smoother video playback.
