"Additional permissions" popup

Every time I browse there is a very annoying popup saying "The extension update requires additional permissions etc". I am thinking of moving to Chrome or Firefox if it can't be fixed.

I have tried and tried to get an answer about the annoying 'Extension upgrade...permissions' popup, but no one in technical support or customer services seems interested in Opera users. So it's time to move back to Chrome or Firefox. Such a disappointment, as I like everything else about the browser.

@leocg "...try the solutions provided?"
Sometimes, it feels like we're searching all over trying to find solutions on our own. In this case, I did not see any solutions offered.
Is there a common area where solutions would be found -- a place that we should "know" to check, first?

@denizen976 That's exactly one of the main ideas of forum, to be a place where people can discuss about the issues they are having and help each other to find solutions. Solutions that can be used by others facing the same issues.

@denizen976 Start Opera with the command line --show-component-extension-options and repeat the steps mentioned before.

@leocg And that's a good thing, – mutual support – and very welcome! But nevertheless, it's unusual for a large organisation not to offer more personalised support; digging around I found a few email addresses, like the Opera Desktop Team, but none of them reply to individual messages.
I am fairly computer literate, but many are not, and some of the 'solutions' are beyond the capabilities of most of us! So in that respect, people like you who are so helpful are greatly appreciated – and much needed in the absence of any official support from Opera.

--show-component-extension-options
Cool. I wasn't aware. I will try that the next time I start Opera.
and repeat the steps mentioned before.
I guess that is part of the problem. I didn't see any steps mentioned before (assumed "in this post"). Were the steps in a different post, or am I just not seeing them?
