Tab audio muting UI control not really disabled

So there's the opera flags page and there is this glorious setting:
Tab audio muting UI control
When enabled, the audio indicators in the tab strip double as tab audio mute controls. - Mac, Windows, Linux, ChromeOS, Fuchsia, Lacros#enable-tab-audio-muting
Which I have set to 'disabled', because I really hate the audio indicator. I want it gone or at lest static.
Disabling this option should do the trick, except it does not.
Help me keep my sanity.
Windongs 10. Latest Opera version.

@leocg I am ignorant in my ignorance. All I know is that I know nothing. Still unacceptable. What is the final solution for completely nuking the tab audio indicator? It is annoying as hell. All I want is to be able to click on my tab that is playing audio without it muting.
I do not want to stop using opera due to this behaviour. Opera is the browser of all time.
What is even more infuriating is that there used to be this little flag called "#tab-audio-indicator", I repeat "#tab-audio-indicator". Disable. Why in unholy Satin's 666 name was it removed? At least bring it back. Back in Black.
There was an even an extension that tackled this crap. But of course it was thrown down the internet's memory hole. Make the tab audio indicator static for people that do want to keep their sanity.
Gee, it's almost as if corporations and developers and service providers want to drive their users absolutely livid and mad. This is going to backfire.
Sheeple, rise up. Except no one wants to rise up. Nobody listened to that Black Flag's Rise Above song, ever.
Oh but right, Mr. Devs do not even read this forum so it is useless to go on a schizoburger tirade here. I should direct my energy and undying unyielding endless nameless anger at something more productive.
By the way, this is not passive-aggressiveness. It is outright aggression. Perhaps I should shut my airhole before I get banned in less than a week after joining. Except I will not shut up.
Not even the first place that bans me. It's fun.
All I want is a functional usable browser. I want things to actually work.

This! when you have 30+ tabs open and 60% of tab width is the mute icon and 40% are the remaining 1-2 title letters its hard to not misclick!
i just swapped from chrome to opera but this annoyance including no pill/island customization and a few other missing feature's make me consider to pack my bags again and move to yet another.. i'd rather not
