Bookmark visible only in speed dial

Hello. Is it possible to see my bookmarks only when I am in speed dial and not when I am browsing other sites? This new update made upper bar bigger and its now too much for me.

In old versions, when bookmark bar is hidden, Opera automatically unhides the bookmark bar when a new blank tab is opened. For several users, that kind of workflow is beneficial and a time-saver.

Since "that" behavior is gone, I end up assigning "CTRL+W" for hiding/unhiding the bookmarks bar.
