The forum is rubbish

This forum is needlessly convoluted and appears designed to brush issues under the carpet rather than try to resolve them. Ultimately that's bad for Opera - glossing over the cracks is not a good business plan. Listening to your customer base would be a better one and someone needs to tell the mods that.

@leocg Well you've locked two of my posts today. The latter was a general post in the general section and of a general nature. Yet you feel it pertinent to parrot out your 'One issue at a time' and lock the thread.
It's not my loss however, I tried to provide some constructive criticism but either yourself, Opera or both in tandem are not interested. I can see via posts here and elsewhere that the above lack of interest is the norm so won't waste any more of your or my day.

@gonefishin And in both the reason for that was explained.
The time you wasted to open this topic and repost the other one, you could have done what was asked for you to do.

IMO, you overuse the topic-lock and dup feature.
Someone had problems updating Opera. Two people gave suggestions (including me). One suggested using sudo on the cmd line -- which you said wasn't windows, yet I mentioned 2 ways to do do that. But one can do that via alternates. 1) sudo via the GUI someone pointed at a "wsudo", and I mentioned the equivalent "run as Administrator". and 2) a simple "runas" in cmd that does the same thing, but now can't find my post as base was labeled duplicate. It is the case that there might be more than one solution, and barring off-topic or Spam, you might consider leaving posts rather than using what some might consider, heavy-handed moderating options.
Similarly, deleting user postings can be off-putting or "aggressive" to the user(ex. @Lamsoonia )on the recieving end.
Cheers -- and thanks for your time in doing what is often a thankless job.

agree'd. the worst are the mods. i've been around these forums for a number of years now, and i have never seen this girl be helpful in any way. she causes problems on the forums by being obtuse, she can be quite offensive, and i cant even block the offensive prick.
the majority of her replies are some form of toxic gaslighting, "that didnt happen" or "you're wrong".
she locks and deletes conversations she doesnt seem to like, and no doubt she gonna see this, have a snowflake meltdown and ban me entirely, and i really dont care, cos these forums are not useful.,, and problems are never solved thanks to mods like this.
i can only assume she is the favoured granddaughter of the forum creator or some crap.
