      Hi there,

I'm trying to change Opera's default search engine so it uses Google.com instead of localized results through Google.nl. However, when I add a new Google query it just shows up under "Other search engines" and it doesn't give me any way to use it or make it default. It does allow me to set the other ones (Yahoo, Bing, Amazon, Wikipedia) as default.

      The settings I entered are:
      Name: Google US
      Keyword: google
      Address: https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=%

What can I do? Funny thing is that I was able to do it previously but my settings got deleted today and now I can't get it back.

        1. What's your Opera?
        2. Tried to find that discussion - but failed. The thing is, you can't change your predefined search engines. People were talking about a possibility to delete the Google one - or like that (like deep tinkering), also they were saying you can add your own ones still...
Did you installed a localised version? I wonder if the international one could still have .com there...

I'm using version 25.0.1614.68 on Windows 7. When I first installed Opera earlier this year I was able to change the search engine to Google.com, but maybe something changed meanwhile. The installer was called "Opera_NL_stable.exe", I'll see if an English installer makes any difference.
