Opera 12.17 - special characters issue

Hi all,
I have a foolish issue for a few weeks, in all the sites I navigate, I can't see the special characters.
I can't see é, $, à, *, # ecc...
Why I cannot??? Where is the problem???

NB Changing page codification to Automatic, or Unicode or Central Europe nothing change!

Example: these characthers ( € , — ) is right here but in other sites I see these ( Ä , ó )

there is a problem of font or other=???

OMG.... the characters is right when I write here, but after posted I see other....

The font you use in Opera has no non-ASCII characters. Strange.

May be this helps:

1. In Windows Explorer go to Opera's profile folder
2. backup file operaprefs.ini
3. delete file operaprefs.ini
4. restart Opera

May be you have a problem with hardware accelaration of you graphic card.
Disable with opening <tt>opera:config#UserPrefs|EnableHardwareAcceleration</tt>

Be so kind and show in which site teh fonts dont dsplay correct, please add URLs.

The issue if characters change is encoding. The page is using Unicode (UTF-8) while you are set to override the encoding and use a non-Unicode encoding.

Make sure that menu > Page > Encoding has "Automatic Selection" selected and not some other setting.
