Opera creates debug.log files again and again...

I have a weird issue. When I open a pdf or any url file with opera gx, it creates debug.log file at file's folder. The content of debug.log file is this:
[0608/015818.442:ERROR:(-1)] Check failed: false.
There is no chromecast support option on opera settings, so don't say "disable chromecast support".

I tried to reinstall Opera GX and also renamed profile and cache folders. but none helps... I think this issue is about Opera's autoupdate. Because I also got errors while opening Opera with Sandboxie Plus. Opera tries to autoupdate and if it is not possible, a debug log created, I guess.

I still have the same issue. When I open a pdf, a debug log is created. It also happens when I run psiphon3.exe (from https://psiphon.ca/psiphon3.exe) at any folder. I think it is about something on settings for debug as default. I can't be the only one that have this issue. Any help for that? I think it may be a settings left on registry, or if not, this could be a common issue.
For example, I just created a pdf from my google document and when I opened it on Opera, I got a "debug.log" file with content "[0615/180947.800:ERROR:(-1)] Check failed: false. ". What does that mean? -

I think this issue is about Opera's autoupdate.
Uninstall Opera again and delete the install folder and both the profile and cache folders again. Then, delete everything in "C:\Windows\temp" and "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\temp". Then, open up the Windows Task Scheduler, select "Task Scheduler Library" and make sure all Opera update tasks are gone (just in case the uninstaller missed something).
Then, download the Opera GX installer, launch it, click "options", adjust everything how you like and install.
For an existing profile, try deleting just the "crash report" folder in the profile folder.
However, since it's happening with another program, it may indeed be something outside of Opera. You can hit the Windows key + r to open the run dialog, type
systempropertiesadvancedand hit enter, and then click the "Environment Variables" button to see if you can find any user or system environment variables set that have to do with debugging. -

I didn't use any vpn while I am testing these...
For Opera and OperaPortable, there is no "debug.log" file created. With same settings and same files, OperaGX creates "debug.log" file on the installation folder, and on the file folder if I open anything (pdf or html) with OperaGX. During my test, I cleaned temp folders, profile and cache data folders at AppData, and "debug.log" files.

Hmm, don't see anything in there that stands out. But, one other idea for a test (not a solution) is to temporarily create a new Windows users (local only one not tied to a Microsoft account), log into it and see if Opera GX does it there too or not.

I have the same problem. The debug.log file is created in the directory where I open the pdf, html or any other file in Opera.

well i have same problem, only solution so far is to disable Opera GX scheduled Autoupdate and Opera GX scheduled assistant Autoupdate otherwise it creates new log after opening operagx, error is always same ERROR:(-1)] Check failed: false, this doesn't happen with other browsers including opera stable, beta or dev builds, only opera gx, might be global problem, maybe something to do with new .net, other apps also had same debug.log, for example cpuz and utorrent, also created once in system32 folder, but only in operagx debug.log creation never ends, other solution is to make debug.log read only and then hide, then logs will stop, this started few months ago

@burnout426 Yes, I tested Opera stable install and Opera portable version. It only does it on OperaGX. I will test it with a local user, and tell you what I find.
And if there is a way to get details about what does that "Check failed: false." mean and why this is happening, tell me so that I can find a way to solve it. Really, this is annoying and this happens on any pc that I use. -

press run then %windir%\system32\taskschd.msc /s and disable both Opera GX scheduled Autoupdate and Opera GX scheduled assistant Autoupdate, this might break opera automatic updates

I tested it on a new local user, and still have the same issue.

I tried this, but it doesn't help. The browser still keeps creating this log.
