How to disable Instant Search from address bar

I'm trying to disable the feature that the address bar works like a search field. In the preferences I can only choose which search engine to use but I cannot set this to "None".
The web is full of suggestions and they are all outdated. It seems to me that Opera has NO ability to work without using the address bar as search field.
I have a link to a specific database page that constantly triggers a search in Google – horrible.
https://www.opera.com/features/search-in-tabs
Please help me to disable this Instant Search feature – perhaps somebody knows of an insider trick?

@mypointofview I don't think you can disable it but you can disable search suggestions in settings.

@leocg Please verify whether it really is not possible – I need to ditch Opera then. But if there's hope, then I'll stick around.

@mypointofview It's not possible. In fact I don't know any browser that allows you to disable the search feature in address bar.

@leocg Fair enough. However, when I paste my link into the search/address bar of Google Chrome, I then get to the proper page, not with Opera. Opera starts to search for it.
I deleted all history, cookies, etc.
Here's the link: https://www.e-exercises.com/classic/admin_alt/gestion_reunions.php
In Chrome it prompts me to login. If I'm already logged in, I get directly to that page. Not in Opera – in Opera when I paste the link, a search begins (clicking the link works).
Can you check please?
This seems to be a bug, IMHO since clicking the link works, but not pasting the link (then the search starts).

@mypointofview Check if the address is correct, that nothing is being missed.
I remember have seen some people commenting that Opera is making a search instead of opening pages but I never saw it happened here expected when the address was typed wrongly.

@leocg The link in question is in my previous post, again here:
https://www.e-exercises.com/classic/admin_alt/gestion_reunions.php
If you Paste that link into the Opera address field, a search starts. If I paste the same link into Google Chrome, Maxthon, Brave, Vivaldi, or Safari, it resolves immediately!
Go ahead and try this yourself! Maybe it's just me with that issue? Please confirm.
