I wish to use the site search function from Opera for youtube. The problem is that I can't get it to work.

To search you would need to fill out three things: 1. The name or title of the search engine (Youtube), 2. The Shortcut (Https://youtube.com) or (youtube.com), 3, URL with %s in place of query (https://www.Youtube.com/results?search_query=%S&page={startPage?}&utm_source=opensearch)

The idea is that you type in your searchbar youtube and press space or tab to specify what you want to search

I know it possible in Google chrome and I wish to also use this in Opera. Could some please tell what I'm doing wrong.

@original-devilson As far as I know, Opera doesn't have that feature.

@original-devilson What you can do is to go to YouTube.com, right click on its search field and use the option to create search engine.
Then, when you want to search in YouTube, you type the keyword chosen to trigger YouTube search followed by an space and the search terms in the address bar.

@leocg is it not possible? because the tab with the functions are available, it is the exact same as that of Google chrome.
            Link Opera: opera://settings/searchEngines
            Link Google: chrome://settings/searchEngines?search=sear

even setting up the custom search engine is exactly the same.

@original-devilson It seems to me that the Tab option being there is a bug. Or something still unfinished at least.

Best way to do it is to set the keyword to yt and type yt, a space, your search term(s) and press enter. You can set the keyword to youtube.com instead if you want to kind of simulate how Chrome does things. However, always use a space after the keyword in Opera. Never use a tab as the behavior is buggy. Also, at the URL opera://settings/searchEngines, keep it set to "space or tab" and just pretend it only says "space". And, pretend the separate tab-only option doesn't exist.
