Greetings. My browsing history only goes back one week. Is it possible to search back further? I need to pull something up that I searched several weeks ago. Thanks!

@happytrailz If you can try search to see if there are any results from beyond that point, but I don't think you will get something.

@leocg Of course, I tried that and the history only shows One Week back! Never heard of a program that only went back one little week.

@happytrailz Chromium stores up to 90 days of History, maybe your History file is corrupted.

As said, your history is probably corrupted. To fix it, you have to goto the URL
opera://about
, take note of the "profile" path, close Opera, and delete the "History" file in the profile folder. Then, Opera should store history correctly again. That will of course cause you to lose all history you have, but it's probably necessary. But, before you do that, while Opera is closed, you can open the History file in an SQLite viewer to see what URLs are still available in the file. You can then manually copy them to a text file (or to a list of A elements in an HTML file) to back them up.
Note though that if the History file is corrupted, there could be other things in the profile folder that are corrupted. It'd really be best to start with a new profile so you know for sure everything is good. But, that's up to you.

@happytrailz Nope, Chromium, the engine/project on which Opera, Chrome, Edge and other browsers are based on.
