Hello,
when I try the 2FA for several devices, after I type in the auth. code, it just says session expired and kicks me out. No way to synchronize sht.
What am I doing wrong or is this a known issue?
Both devices are Win10.

I can log in on any other device, but not the opera browser. I've tried turning off 2FA, running updates, and reading some other forum posts, but there is still no fix.

@leocg it was just the opera browser that wouldn't let me log in. in the end i had to disable 2FA and jump through a bunch of loops and workarounds to log in for the first time, on the opera browser. took me over an hour of messing around, not a great experience honestly.
Edit: its pretty obvious we don't know why we can't login, if we knew that we wouldn't be posting on the forums about it.

@toastyfox What happens when you try to login? That was the question.
And logging to what/where? Opera account?

@leocg again, thats already stated, hell man its in the title, i'm trying really hard not to be rude but it feels like you're not actually reading the post.
in previous comments both myself and @ahsankhan12 stated this happens only on the opera browser (it doesn't happen on opera mobile, or on other web browsers). i think since we're on the opera forums it would be very safe to assume we're logging in to our opera accounts.
and as for what happens, it says it in the title, we get an error saying "2FA session expired".

@toastyfox said in 2FA always Session expired. Login impossible!:
i think since we're on the opera forums it would be very safe to assume we're logging in to our opera accounts.
There was a small, implicit hint ("No way to synchronize") in your original post that implied you were talking about logging in to your Opera account, but there was nothing explicit. So, it was a guess and he was asking for clarification. It's best to be explicit and direct so no one has to guess.
With that said, when it said "2FA session expired" for the error, the first thing to try would have been to goto the URL
opera://settings/content/all
, typeopera.com
in the search field, click "Clear displayed content", goto the URLopera://settings/clearBrowserData
and clear "cached images and files" for all time. Then, goto https://auth.opera.com/ in a new tab and try to log in that way (while Opera's VPN is turned off).Another test that could have been tried is to try and log in in a test standalone installation to rule out issues with your extensions and your profile.
Then, if you managed to log in somehow (with 2FA and the hoops or whatever), going to https://auth.opera.com/account/edit-profile, scrolling down, showing your sessions and logging out of all of them might have helped get rid of the 2FA sessions error.
Finally, there's a section in the forums here at https://forums.opera.com/category/24/opera-account for Opera account issues if nothing helped.

Precoded:
- We go to a site that has an account and previously managed to log into it
Steps to reproduce:
- Go to the website (video attached)
- Enter Login
- Enter Password
- Click "Okay"
Expected action:
- I should be allowed inside the site (for example, some service, for example, the PO BOX service)
Actual result:
- Error message "Your session has expired, please log in again."

Analysis of why this is an Opera GX error:
- Through regular Opera, logging into the service is successful. It also works successfully via Google Chrome
