@juustar said in My Antivirus found a threat in Opera GX Topic:
I've randomly started getting this whenever I try to type in the address bar
What's going on???
I don't know if it is related to the new avast update. There is no such a thing yesterday, but evening I've update the avast and today here it is.

Hello,
Today every time i want to type something into the search bar, i get this message.
No idea what this is, or how to remove it. The antivirus says that i disabled the tread, but it comes back every time i want to type something in. I did a full scan, but antivirus found nothing.
What do i do ?! -

@juustar Try this and it might fix your issue;
Go to avast settings and select "Exceptions"
Type https://suggestions.opera-api2.com/
This will definitly help you. I checked if there's really a virus and no there's nothing. -

@mstfcbng this happened to me, whenever I searched up using bing, it redirects me to https://ysrcunow.com which Avast flags it. I might stop using Opera GX.

I've never seen this happen but I only just started using Opera GX, so maybe it's because I haven't used it for long enough.

Out of nowhere, Opera GX started to have Trojans, I already cleaned everything, uninstalled it, restarted it and it still didn't come out

@gianteli9714 Whar does the message say? Generally, any warning that is identified as heuristic is a warning about features of the program that could possibly be used in a bad way, not that they have done so. In particular, certain antivirus products tend to identify the background updater as malicious, since it does install updates without asking beforehand.
