[Duplicated]OperaGX Windows Repeatedly opens then crashes after I synced

I got it working, I think the problem was that earlier I reinstalled opera instead of uninstalling it completely and doing the setup again. Sync still breaks it though unfortunately : - (

Close Opera if it's open.
Hit Windows key + r to open the run dialog, type:
explorer "%AppData%\Opera Software"
, and press enter.
Right-click on the "Opera GX Stable" folder, choose "copy", right-click on a blank spot in the "Opera Software" folder, and choose "paste" so that you get a copy of the folder named "Opera GX Stable - Copy", which will be your backup.
Then, in the "Opera GX Stable" folder, there's a "Sync Data" folder. If you delete the "Sync Data" folder (while Opera is closed), it should log you out of Sync and allow you to start all over with Sync for that Opera profile.
However, if there's a problem with your data on the Sync server that just causes Opera to crash again when you sync, you'll need to delete the "Sync Data" folder again and also goto https://www.sync.opera.com/ (in another browser would be fine) and reset your passphrase to wipe out all your data on the Sync server. Then, you should be able to log back into Sync in Opera and hopefully everything will work, and hopefully it'll upload your Opera data from that Opera back to the server.
If you still have a problem though, you'll need to reset your passphrase again at https://www.sync.opera.com/ and delete the "Opera GX Stable" folder so that Opera starts with a completely fresh profile. Then syncing should work fine.

@burnout426 Hey, I'm having the exact issue you just described how to fix, and I tried everything you said to do. However, the problem still persists. I genuinely don't know what to do. I've tried every solution to this problem that others have suggested, but nothing works. Is there anything else you can think of that might work?

So, when you close Opera, delete the "Sync Data" folder and start Opera again, does it crash then or does it only start crashing when you enable Opera Sync again?

@burnout426 I have the same exact issue as everyone else here and I've done everything you said. Opera GX literally will not even open at all, it just starts and then immediately crashes before I can see any tabs. Sucks cause I love that browser lol I guess back to chrome for the time being

@burnout426 Hi man, I'm having similar issues but can't for the life of me figure out what's wrong. I started my pc and Opera just instantly crashed, restarted, crashed, restarted around 5 times.
I'm on a Windows btw. I have found the hidden folders, but I don't have a Sync folder to delete. So that doesn't work for me
I haven't done anything different during my last session, haven't installed anything new. Any ideas that I can try out to get it working again?

@Shwamsens If you messed with Early Bird in Opera, see https://reddit.com/r/operabrowser/wiki/opera/known_issues/#wiki_.22new_look.22_early_bird_setting_causes_opera_gx_to_crash_on_startup.

@burnout426 Thanks for getting back to me! I've tried multiple things from that list, but none seem to be working. I deleted the Early Bird node in JSON, I used the System File Checker to repair any corrupted files, I don't have a Windows Family but I've logged into a local account on my pc just in case, I've uninstalled and re-installed Opera GX again, but nothing. I will now restart about 3-4 times, then the window stays open but shows a fully white square (no top bar or anything), and if I click in there, I get the "Not responding" pop-up that lets me pick whether to wait for or close the program.
Any other tips I might check out? Seriously have no idea what happened, I didn't change anything before this issue came up...

@Shwamsens Does a test standalone installation of Opera GX work fine?
