Mods wont install

whenever i try and install a mod it goes dark and does the spin wheel thing but then goes back to the install button.
ive checked reddit and turned on all the settings listed here: https://www.reddit.com/r/operabrowser/comments/112lnz0/comment/j8mkpi1/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

i dont know what else to try so if anyone could help that would be appreceated.

I've encountered this same issue, but only with a specific mod
