With the recent Twitter drama, an option to connect to a Mastodon instance in the sidebar would be a great way to pull some of the more 'integrated' users of the web into using the GX platform.

Safari has a Mastodon extension. Works just fine. Opera could do similarly. And soon, I hope!

And I think it may be good to be added mastodon web client "Elk". This web client is looks like Twitter. I think it is easy to use by users.

I support this request. We need to be able to use different instances of mastodon on Opera GX

In fact I just found out you can add any URL by enabling this flag: opera://flags/#sidebar-site-panel
Just enter this url, enable the flag and restart. Then you'll be able to see Custom site panels inside Sidebar setup
