Opera 94.0.4606.76
Win 7 Home PremiumI have set the option to "Clear cookies and site data when you quit Opera", but it's not happening. Neither does the "Clear All Data" button work, and clearing them all individually is a time-consuming chore. I've found some cookies dating from months ago even thought the browser is shut down at least once per week.
I found an old thread on this problem, but all posters claimed that everything cleared when Opera was closed, which clearly doesn't cover my problem.
Thanks in anticipation.

Goto the URL
opera://about
, take note of the "profile" path, close Opera, and delete the "Cookies" file in the "Network" folder in the profile folder. Hopefully that will fix it.Are you using Opera Sync though?

Many thanks burnout.
Yes, I am synching with Opera on the mobile 'phone. Is this what's preventing the cookie data from being wiped? I would have thought deleting on one device would do so on the other.
Most of the time the sync works seamlessly (eg. for bookmarks) without my having to do anything, but sometimes it stumbles and I have to scan the QR code to update it. I've no idea why this should occur.
Appreciate your help.

I don't know but maybe. You can log out of Sync and test.
