I think you can't uninstall "amazon extension". You can deactivate it and normally you won't see it anymore

I ran across an old thread, and this works.. go to the extension store, install the assistant, then you can uninstall and it takes the built in garbage with it.
Yet another sign that the devs do not care what we want, if they like it they will force it on Opera users..

@core I only signed up to these forums to learn to remove that joke called amazon assistant. Amazon is such a terrible business. Extremely well known for being a terrible employer. Plus amazon refused to honor their backing of a third party seller who ripped me off through false advertising. I like opera but since they're in bed with Amazon I'll be researching other browsers that I may part ways with opera for good!

@core Your fix did work thanks! But still it leaves a terrible taste in my mouth for Opera now smh
