Lost all my workspace tabs after crash....

I am new to Opera, and was excited that there was a built-in workspace.
However, in just one week, this is the second time I've lost all my tabs. The first time, I am not sure what happened. The second time, it was after a crash - also something I have never experienced with other browsers....I'm surprised that the workspace is merely a way to organize tabs you happen to have open. It only seems to save them when you quit, and not ongoingly as you work. So if there is a crash, you're out of luck....
Before switching to Opera, I used other tab organizers that actually save your tabs in each workspace, and you can choose to have them open the next time you open the browser or not.
Very disappointed that Opera has not thought to make their workspace crash-proof, as one can lose a lot of work very easily. It should save ongoingly, and there should be options to restore previous workspaces.
With crashing and losing my tabs, not sure if I want to continue using this browser....
