The Opera is asking for a passphrase and now I can't sync topic

Hey,
I recently had windows 10 crash on me needing a fresh install. I decided to opt for windows 11.
Anyway, in this process I downloaded Opera as it's my main browser used for basically everything (mainly to run my business).
However after signing into my account, sync wasn't being allowed due to needing a passphrase (I made Opera years ago, how the heck am I supposed to remember this or even where I kept it).
I kept trying whatever I could to get a sync to happen as I have 100's of very important bookmarks on my account and no way to access them.
I recently remember syncing Opera with my old window laptop (since sold) and it was a breeze - no passphrase etc required. But now that I don't have a secondary device it appears impossible without resetting data.
Can anyone please help me retreave my bookmarks? It's very important for me and my operation of business.

@leocg I don't as I really wasn't expecting this issue - I thought I could just login again and resync everything.. but I guess I also wasn't expecting windows to wipe itself.

@itsbenetti The passphrase being asked may be your old Opera account password.

@kukuruzix It's asking for a passphrase/password or for the second factor authentication code?

@leocg
hey leo,
It's asking for a passphrase, but I don't know if I put a passphrase on this account when Iam created it.
After a few days, after logging into my opera acc, everything seems to be fine, all the tags are where they should be, but opera still asking for passphrase to start sync. -

@kukuruzix It may be asking for an old Opera account password.

@kukuruzix Synced saved passwords are encrypted using your Opera account credentials, so Opera needs the password used when those passwords were synced to decrypt them.
The same for when you set up a passphrase to encrypt all your synced data, you will need to provide the passphrase to decrypt your data.
