No QR Code to connect with phone

I formatted my hard drive, download opera because I used to like it, went to log in and for my surprise it didn't show me the QR code to scan with my phone, and then it asks me for a 6 digit code or for a backup code, now I'm stuck because I can't use my phone for the QR code, I only get this freaking digit prompt, why isn't an option to recover from e-mail? why do I have to loose all my bookmarks and passwords because of this crappy situation, this is unbelievable....

@l3runo As already said, the option to sync with Opera for Android using a QR Code is no longer available dure to current changes in Opera. You need to use your login and password on both desktop and the phone.

@l3runo If it's asking you for a code is because you have turned on second factor authentication, so you need the code from the authenticator you've chosen or a backup code to access your account. if you don't have any of them, you lost access to your account.

@leocg yeah that's just fine and I have all information, mail and pass, but it asks me for a 6 digit key that I don't have, i use google authenticator for some time and I don't have Opera there, why making this so hard, I can log in to google with my phone number why can't I do the same to Opera, and most importantly, why do I have to create a new account just to ask for help? I do love this browser but damn

@l3runo If you have set up second factor authentication and lost both the authentication app and the backup codes, then you lost your account. There is no way to recover it.

@leocg yeah and that's pretty annoying just to be polite, QR authentication worked just fine, ffs!!!
