Add "video playing in the background" of Opera Android and Opera Mini'.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.opera.browser
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.opera.mini.nativeLike Brave android browser, I suggest you to add this feature as it allows the user to start watching a certain video on a website in Opera browser, then change tabs in Opera or even hide Opera and then open another app (Whatsapp, Instagram, Twitter,...) and the audio of the video continues to be played, with the control (to go back, to play/pause and to next) through the notification: https://i.imgur.com/Es3gNyO.jpg
This is very good for listening to the video playback from www.youtube.com, for example. But it can be for any website that plays videos like twitter.com, facebook.com, news websites and many others.
Thank you

Please add that feature as per Brave browser. That is the only feature a lot of people using Brave for youtube on Android instead of Opera.

@johnbrook Opera for over 30 years cannot provide this simple feature. I use another browser for this. And there is not a single browser apart from chrome that doesnt support this feature alongside media features when playing videos in full screen mode. It shocks me as to how opera is user friendly browser in 2024 where mobile usage is all time high.

@evillast Yes, it does and even many other browsers (naming them here can ban me) but not opera shows how much opera respects veteran users like us. It is old style browser with no changes with change in time.

Great suggestion! Having video playback in the background would be a fantastic feature for Opera on Android and Opera Mini. It would definitely enhance the browsing experience, especially for multitasking. I hope the team considers this for future updates. Thanks for sharing the idea!
