How to block extensions from opening a web-page once updated?

Hi, I've recently had a very unpleasant experience that I was watching a video but then a stupid web-page opened up from one of my extensions, saying it was updated and they would like me to donate.

I really want to know how I can block this feature forever. Is this possible? I do not see any setting regarding this in extension, only disable and enable.

@foeniee I don't think there's a way to do that.
Maybe there is something in the extension settings.
