Can't select whole page any more.

One of the best reasons for using Opera for Android was the screen reader and the ability to select all or most of an article to copy and share.
I have long wished for a "select all" function but in it's absence, I have been able to drag over a complete page. Until recently, that is. Lately I can only select a portion of an article? Is that by design? A feature or a bug?
Is there a work around or a fix on the way?
Also, tonight I noticed that the "reader" icon is missing on many articles. Que pasa?
Thanks
Len

Maybe I am using the wrong name for it.
To the right of the url near the top of the screen there is often a small hamburger-like icon with a tiny A in the top left corner. The function simplifies most pages for easier reading.
Actually the problem exists in regular mode as well as well.
There is no select all function and when I try to manually select the text in an article (and images, too) I can only get a couple of paragraphs. There is no way to extend the area selected.
Thanks,
Len

@modemjunkie Seems to be a reader mode.
I also don't see it here.
