Some words on GX Profiles purpose

Currently GX profiles serve no purpose what so ever would it not be better if GX profiles was a feature in the browser to change the icon to a certain colour depending on what you are doing?
Would that not be better than what we have, because as of now (and I might be wrong on this, please correct me if I am) GX profiles serve no purpose whatsoever. -

@scoutinger As of now, they are operating profiles. You change profile, you change features.. One profile disables sound, one doesn't save new browsing data, etc.
