Long press on tabs view button doesn't open a new tab

I woke up this morning, and to my sadness and anger, this bug came up on Opera:

Yesterday, if long pressed the tab view button, Opera would immediately open a new tab.

Now, when I long press this button, an useless menu appears, making this thing look like the reason I abandoned Chrome and spit on it's grave a year ago.

Please fix this bug quickly !

If that "behavior" is intentional, it has to go back ASAP to the hole it came from.

By the way, Opera 67.0.3508.63081 doesn't have this disgusting defect.

@lucasbs Chrome behaves in a similar way, so maybe Opera is just following Chromium on this.
