Custom filters for Opera adblocker?

Hello,
I tried using uBlock Origins's filters as my custom filters with Opera adblocker but they don't seem to make any difference.
What blocker does Opera adblocker is based on?
There are various formats available here https://filterlists.com/
I need to know the correct format Opera's adblocker will accept so that I can use the right filters.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

@wealstarr As far as I know, Opera's adblocker uses the Easylist format.

@leocg Thank you for the response. I did some research and found that Opera's adblocker is based on Adblock Plus so it will accept the wrting convictions of the Adblock Plus filters.
The goal here however is to use uBlock and Adguard filters into Opera without needing another 3rd party add-on. I guess I'm gonna have to figure out how to convert the adguard filters into the adblockplus and then use them inti Opera.

Opera's built-in blocker uses easylist filters in the Adblock Plus format. The main difference between ABP filters and uBlock Origin and Adguard's own filters is that ABP uses snippets in rules, while uBO and Adguard use scriptlets in their own formats.
ABP snippets, uBO scriptlets, Adguard scriptlets. As far as I remember, in the Opera blocker, support for ABP snippets is officially included in Opera 80.
You can use uBO and Adguard filters in Opera's built-in blocker, but rules with scriptlets will be ignored.Personally, I disabled the built-in blocker in Opera and use the uBO extension with the Opera setting
Allow access to search page results
enabled. This is the most efficient. -

@johnd78 Allow me to thank you for the detailed and informative reply John, very helpful indeed.
The guides you linked went mostly above my head. Is there a simple way to convert uBO and Adguard scriptlets into ABP snippets so that I can use them into Opera???

As far as I know, there is no such way now.

@johnd78 No worries John, appreciate your help. I tried the same Adguard and uBO filters in Vivaldi and it's adblocker also based on ABP tells you how many rules are valid and parsed and how many are invalid and discarded.
Wish there was this same functionality in Opera too.

I agree, when importing filters in Vivaldi, this is done more conveniently than in Opera.
