Are there any good features left in Opera 24?

So far I'm missing:
1 F12 quick settings; absolutely essential for quickly turning java/flash/animations on or off.
2 The ability to turn animations off. A lot of sites are unreadable with animated ads and other content jumping around.
3 Open in same tab on right click menu. I hate web developers who want to open everything in a new tab/window, and now I no longer have any choice. Actually back in Opera 5 or 6 or thereabouts I could set Opera to open in new tab only when I said so myself no matter what the html said, so 12 is less good than older versions, but still a lot better than 24.
4 The ability to ctrl-tab in most recently used order. It's the only reasonable way to do it, but now no browser does it that way. Alt-tab still works in most recently used order. Mostly I have 2-3 tabs that I use all the time and several that I use every now and then. I guess the natural thing to do would be to have a single tab for the rarely used sites and use bookmarks, but thats more work and now those seem to be lacking too...
5 F2 for mouse-free entering of URL. It's not as big as the others, but I still miss it.
I guess an adblocker would to a large extent mitigate the problems of 1 and 2, but why force people to the extra hassle?
What's better in 24 than 12? Haven't found anything so far, so switching back now. The 12.17 download was well hidden, though.

Actually, you could do that in 12, in opera:config

opera://flags/#activation-order-tab-cycling

Why F2? You want the dialog? There are shortcuts to focus the address field - same as in Opera 12, same as in most other browsers - what's so special about the dialog?

Don't know if it's what you want but F8 selects the address.
Yes, that's a good alternative. Thank you.

I am also wondering about some of the similar features that the original author mentioned.
Why has the "F12" quick access function been removed? I regularly have to toggle the proxy server off, and this feature was so helpful and quick.
Also, where is the key symbol gone at the side of teh address bar? This enabled saving of credentials. If I log into a site that I can sabe my credentials to, the pop-up asking if I want to save the credentials, gives me about a second to make a choice, then dissapears. Why can't the original key symbol. together with the keyboard shortcut "ALT+ENTER" be made available again?

Setting up a new computer, (iMac), and I quickly installed Opera... except that it isn't Opera. Jesus... looks like another version of Chrome. Sync isn't working, I can't setup the screen the way I have been using it for too many years to count, I can't right click and "send link". No longer have the Right click and personal info for filling forms. That was a work horse for me.
I am missing everything I do want and use and I am gaining nothing I do want. Took some searching to find version 12... hope that gets me back to what I am used to. I am all for making progress, but this (24) is very disappointing.

i dont like opera 24 at all. opera 12 is so much better.
i can't find so many things in opera 24
i can't figure out how to find my bookmarks. notes, fields that remember info (like when you type in your address or name it suggests things you've input into the settings to add so you dont have to type the whole thing out), i can't seem to figure out how to customize buttons all over..
I hate the whole layout of their options
it's like they stripped all the cool stuff away and locked it down for morons.. so now it has me wanting to turn to a more advanced browser.
for now i will stick with Opera 12, because i love it.. but when that becomes obsolete i guess i'll be moving to another company if Opera 24 is anything to go by.
sometimes change isn't a good thing
