How to play a .mov file in Opera?

Hm. I have just re-installed VLC Media Player version 2.1.5. When I check the VLC Media Player setup, under "Web Plugins", both "Mozilla" and "ActiveX" are checked. There is no check box for the Opera browser.
If I click on a .mov file on my computer, VLC Media Player opens and plays it. If I try to play the same .mov online (the URL is http://phillipmfeldman.org/David/Aaron performs on piano.mov), I see a large, blue "Q" and nothing plays. Clearly, Opera thinks that it is supposed to play this video using Apple QuickTime. It appears that there is no longer any mechanism for configuring Opera so that specific file types play with specific plug-ins. I'd be grateful if this feature can be restored.

It looks like you have more than 1 plug-in for .mov installed.
Type opera:plugins in the address field and press enter. Disable the QuickTime one and make sure VLC appears there and is enabled, then reload the page to test.

By the way, my Opera (system?) offers [by default] playing that with marvellous Media Player Classic. :norris:

I typed opera:plugins in the address field, disabled QuickTime, and verified that VLC appears and is enabled. When I try to open the video at http://phillipmfeldman.org/David/Aaron performs on piano.mov, Opera wants to save the file on my computer--there is no option to play the file.
I believe that the problem here is that Opera no longer provides any mechanism for specifying the mapping from file types to plug-ins.

It may appear to be broken because the URL in the post has got spaces in it, which isn't allowed in URLs of course!
The forum seems to put the %20 substitutes in however, so it works for me.
