Bookmarks suggestions when typing in address bar

@Tiemen Thanks, but that doesn't work for me for whatever reason. I'd turned that off before (as @burnout246 had previously suggested it) and it didn't do anything. Tried again now, still nothing.
I did just discover that it had been reset to "default" from "disabled" after last night/yesterday's update though. So if anyone has previously disabled it, it's worth knowing that any update will just turn it back on. That's another feature that's very unwelcome. I don't want any of my personal settings reset to default after an update. I can't think of any other app/program that does that. Maybe I'll bookmark that page, titled "annoying" so I can search for the page to check quicker! LOL
The bookmarks in the search may be useful for some people, but I have a lot of bookmarks (hence why this is so frustrating!) and I know where they are because I took 10 seconds to give them a name when I bookmarked them. All I have to do is sort my bookmarks alphabetically and it's very easy to find anything.
But now, for example, if I type in the word "sound" I get 5 bookmarks pulled up first. This is a feature that should be configurable, not just "tough, this is what happens".

@artest956 When you type on address bar, you may get suggestions from your history and bookmarks. It's by design as far as I know.

@artest956 It still hasn't been fixed for me either. None of the suggestions on this page did anything and every time I type anything into the address bar, the first thing that comes up are suggestions from my bookmarks.
I don't want this to happen, but I don't have a choice. This definitely wasn't happening before my original post about it (for me at least), so this had to have been included in an update. I'd been using Opera for roughly a year before this started to happen, and as soon as it did it was immediately obvious (so there's no chance it happened previously and I didn't notice!) -

In the search bar, whenever i search for something, the first suggestions are always based on my bookmarks. This is unbelievably annoying, and i really do not need that, since bookmarks are precisely made to save urls that you might need later, so why would I need them recommended to me? My question is, is there any way to disable opera recommending bookmarks? If it is possible, i would like the option completely disabled. Also, from what I've gathered, there was a solution that said I should go to opera://flags/#suggestion-scoring-improved and disable the option, however i cannot seem to find said flag.

@sea0nf1re As far as I know, it's not possible to disable suggestions from bookmarks.

@leonhardttobias Agreed. I think it says it all that there was no solution or mention of it being looked at, no further responses, then in the thread there's an almost comical "about a year later" when andufo commented today. Clearly this will not be resolved.
When I tried looking into this elsewhere on the web last year I read several things regarding privacy issues with Opera so I'm glad I switched. I'd forgotten how annoying having your bookmarks getting pulled up as suggestions was! Firefox works fine for me and I imported my bookmarks there with no issue.

wait, did you just block the website that I, and the OP, currently have the same issue with the suggestion bar....?
And from what I have learned, a lot of other browsers have an option for you to turn off autocomplete URLs from bookmarks.
For me, i have just only used Opera GX for like 3 months, i do really like it, but this issue, yes, its not just me, is really pissing me off. -

I don't know if anyone said this yet, but the possibility to either remove suggestions from history and bookmarks, either completely, or for specific sites, should be added due to the fact that - surprise surprise - people do not want their pornhub history and bookmarks popping up when browsing in fron of other people, or when other people borrow their browser. Neither on a computer or not.
I never see anyone stating this outright even though it's likely the main motivation to have the functionality to remove it overall.. and most of us actually do browse porn.
I believe the creators of browsers are sadists, willingly not helping us out with this out of sheer pleasure.
