Is opera gx safe to sign in with google?

i have everything on my google account and im pretty scared to lose it. anyone can tell if its safe?

@thatoneartist I don't think that Google will loose your data but it's always wise to do backups if the data stored is important for you.

@thatoneartist As safe as any other browser. Not sure I understand what the nature of the question is supposed to be though.
Opera GX does tend to be slightly behind Opera Stable, the current release of GX is based on Chromium 95 while Stable just updated last week to Chromium 96. While Google is listing any browse still using Chromium 95 as unsafe (and thus probably won't let GX sign in unless you spoof the user agent string), nothing has really changed in the last week.
I'm positive they'll update GX in the next couple of days just because Google is being so pushy, but it won't be that much of a change.

Of course, it is safe. Until you are not using it on a system that is outdated.
Whether it is your mobile device or your PC, if you are using a system that is outdated, it has very fair chances of facing malware injection or some other type of online attack.
