      Hello.
I do not understand why opera does not allow me to play HI-network files from Qobuz.
I only have the ability to read 16 bit / 44.1 CD formats. While my subscription allows it.
      Thank you

@douxy1 Maybe the codec/format is not supported?

          Hello.
it is of course a possibility.
but it is however functional with chrome and chromium.
or look for the codecs and can we put them in place?

@douxy1 There are formats and codecs that are supported in Chromium and Chrome but not in Opera due to legal restrictions, since it requires a license for it.

Don't know if it's the case here.

there is no problem with firefox too. shame if it is a codec problem because I use qobuz a lot.
not completely redibitory with regard to opera.
but changing browser to listen to my music is a little inconvenient.
thank you for the answers while waiting for a solution

Can you find an example file on the net that represents the problem. Others can check to see if they can get it working in Opera.

@douxy1 The downloads on that page take too long to download because of the limited download speed set by the server.

Instead, I went to http://www.2l.no/hires/index.html. In the latest Opera, Opera Beta, and Opera Developer on Linux Mint 20.2 (Cinnamon), I played the 24/96 and 24/192 stereo flac files (by Hoff Ensemble) on the top of the table no problem. Do those ones play for you?

Have you followed https://www.reddit.com/r/operabrowser/wiki/opera/linux_libffmpeg_config to add proprietary codec support to your Opera?

                              Hello
after checking the H264 codec is correctly installed
the listening test is good, then I can read the file
It seems that this is a compatibility issue with the Qobuz and opera
                              I consulted them
thank you for the help provided.
Too bad, but that's the way it is for now

@douxy1 Try this. Goto the URL opera://flags/#reduce-user-agent, enable the flag, restart Opera, and try Qobuz again.

If that doesn't help, turn that flag back off, goto the URL opera://about and take note of the "install" path, and close Opera. Then, launch Opera in a terminal with the --user-agent= switch.

                                Example:

                                /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera/opera "--user-agent=Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/96.0.4664.93 Safari/537.36"

If that doesn't help, you can just continue to launch Opera normally. But, try going to the URL opera://settings/system, disabling "hardware acceleration", and restarting Opera to see if it helps.

You can also goto the URL opera://media-internals after trying to play a stream/file at Qobuz. There, expand the section for the player and look at all the details. Look for audio decoding errors. That should at least tell you why Opera can't play them.

                                    Hello.
                                    bingo for opera: // flags / # reduce-user-agent.
now all possible file formats in Qobuz are accessible.
Wow, you had to know! To be improved by the devs!
                                    thanks again.
I see over time and my other systems

@douxy1 It means that the site is blocking, or limiting in that case, Opera.
