Opera started freezes randomly

Since rencently Opera started freezing randomly.
It mostly happens whenever I'm creating a new tab, or switching between two already open tabs. Sometimes the issue occurs on already open tab when scrolling or when content is being loaded.

What I've noticed is that whenever that happens, CPU usage slowly goes up from around 15-20% to around 60-70% (most of it being Opera), then it goes down, to around 10%, Opera being 2-3%, then goes back up to 15-20% and the browser unfreezes.

This is limited to Opera, no other browser does that to me. I've tried incognito mode, restarting the browser, restarting the laptop, unfortunately nothing worked for me.

The only other apps running in the background are Outlook 2019 and Microsoft Teams.

Any ideas what might be the cause?

@matthew-dorota The same here and funny enough is that firstly I suspected Teams (which also freezes and lags). But after I have uninstalled Teams, Opera still works slowly.
