Lost Tabs in Workspaces

I started using workspaces yesterday and created 3 new ones as well as home. I added tabs to all three, cleaning out my home workspace except for my email and a local news page.
I closed Opera and put the computer to sleep for the night and when i opened it this morning and started Opera, all 3 of the workspaces were empty, with only a start page showing. Except for one workspace which had one of the three tabs I saved there.
How do I recover the missing tabs? How do I make sure this doesn't happen again? Until I find that out looks like I am back to just using the home one.
I have just now discovered that when I switched back to the home space to pick up the email with the Opera version, it had closed my email
What is going on?
Browser: Opera 80.0.4170

Goto the URL
opera://settings/onStartup
and make sure "retain tabs from the previous session" is selected. If it is, then things should be saved just fine as long as you properly close the Opera window with X or click the menu and choose exit.If you use multiple Opera windows though, note that each window will have its own set of tabs in each workspace. To retain all windows, make sure never to close any windows and always use menu -> exit to exit Opera.
Putting your computer to sleep while Opera is open should be fine. But, never actually shut down your computer or restart it while Opera is opened. Always close Opera yourself and give it a second to close before shutting off or restarting your computer. But, just for good measure, if you're having problems, do indeed make sure you close Opera properly before putting your computer to sleep just to see if it helps.

How do I recover the missing tabs?
Click the magnifying glass at the top right of Opera and look in the "recently closed" tabs list and click each to reopen them. If you're lucky, they'll open in the workspace they were in.
Besides that, goto the URL
opera://history
. You should pages you previously visited where you can click on them to reopen them. -
