An invisible "disabled" extension

Hi everyone. I registered just to find a solution to this annoying problem. Whenever I start Opera (desktop, version 77, suits me fine in other respects, Windows 7), I get a message "Your extension was disabled because it is corrupted. Go to the extension manager to repair it." But there is nothing under "Disabled." The developer mode doesn't bring any new information. I'm pretty sick of seeing this pop-up.
I think the culprit is this plug-in for setting page character encoding, from Google Play: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/set-character-encoding/bpojelgakakmcfmjfilgdlmhefphglae. It used to work well for me under different browser versions, or possibly some different settings, but it doesn't now, and although the browser declares an installation, the right-click menu option, for choosing the character set, is not there when I start the browser again. It would seem that this is the problematic extension, and I have only four others installed, or at least all that I remember installing. They sit snug on the Enabled list, and Disabled is empty.
If this extension is the problem, how can I get rid of it? I tried installing it again, on purpose, then using Remove in Extensions to try a clean uninstallation, but nothing changed. Going by that intuitive handle, bpojelgakakmcfmjfilgdlmhefphglae, I looked for such a subfolder in the Extensions directory of my profile, but there wasn't one there (in fact, there aren't even all four folders for the others). I deleted references to bpojelgakakmcfmjfilgdlmhefphglae from Preferences and its backup version, but the extension is just unforgettable.
Any ideas?
