Opera suddenly not working (after update)

Most websites I am trying to access via Opera are suddenly not working. I get messages that say there is no internet, that the website took too long to respond, or they simply don't load. I've recovered Opera, and it was updated earlier today so I cannot update. I'm not sure how to fix it.

@plee88 I would check firewall, antivirus, such things.

@leocg Thanks. Everything seems to be working fine, and Chrome and Safari are unaffected. Any other suggestions? Lots of websites simply not working...
