Thanks mate, I did that. The top one is Opera Browser at 1.8Gb (Cpu fluctuates from 120-85), then its Extension:Background worker at 1.2gb (CPU is around 0-9) , the third item is GPU process: at 1Gb (Cpu is around 1-40).
The rest are 200 and lower for the grouped and individual tabs.

@lonewolf01 I would start by closing all tabs and windows, restarting Opera and see how the CPU and RAM usage goes.

@leocg
I have tried closing down and restarting 3 times and still the same issue. Should I go back to the previous version of opera? Is that possible? -

@lonewolf01 But you closed everything before restarting?
Did you check with extensions disabled? What about a clean profile?
Yes, you could install a previous build and see if it changes anything. But wouldn't solve the problem at all.

I closed all the windows and restarted or do you mean manually closing every tab?
I didnt disable the extensions or try a clean profile.
The reason why i asked if i could go back to a previous build was because it wasnt like this today till i updated it. Straight after i updated it and it restarted is when this issue came about. I update every few days so i was on the version just before the current one that must have been released in the last couple of days.

update every few days so
How do you " update every few days so" and from what (source build, release, etc)?

@mardiyah Sorry, I meant i run the check for updates every few days. It doesnt always find a available update, I am just on the normal chain / release of updates (standard versions not beta). I think this issue may be fixed after yesterday's update. My CPU and memory usage has dropped back down to around where it used to be previously.

No I was wrong, Once i start opening up and working with multiple tabs, the CPU usage spikes back up again.
