Hi - can anyone help, please?
My email stopped arriving within Opera the other day, with a message to any senders advising that my 'mailbox disk quota exceeded'.I have cleared out the trash, the current inbox is circa 100, but that hasn't changed anything - any ideas on what i need to do to start receiving emails again?
thank you

Usually that happens when the space allocated to you on your ISP's e-mail server is exceeded, not the space available on your local computer.
Do you have Opera configured to delete messages from the server when they are retrieved by Opera?
If not, you could well have a lot of messages clogging up your ISP's server.
Do they have a webmail option? If so, log into that and see what messages you have in your inbox.
If there are a huge number there that you've already read locally, delete them and things should come good.

As said, that message is being sent by your email provider not by Opera. You may need to access your email using a webmail interface and clean up your Inbox.
If you are using a pop account, try setting Opera to remove the message from the server after they have been full fetched and/or when you delete them from Opera (check if your mail provider server supports it) to avoid facing this issue again.
Another option would be changing to a mail service with more space available.

I have gone into my settings via the Tools>Mail and Chat Accounts, then edited the POP account to delete from the server once downloaded to Opera.
Seems to have done the trick as I could see 2k emails being deleted!
Sent myself a test email and it was downloaded direct, so it appears to have done the trick - Thanks a lot
