No Opera Sync Option on iOS

@dest8 I had just the same experience. Checked Opera One, and Wow, it is just great. Went to check if sync is available on ios... and no deal. Back to Vivaldi for now (or forever).

I was having the same issue and found out that My Flow does the almost the same as sync/login. I mostly wanted to sync my tabs, so just updated my sync settings on my account and enabled My Flow on the desktop and mobile apps, then added a new device scanning the QR with my phone and my tabs synced on both devices. Unfortunately, this didn’t pick up bookmarks or passwords, which I am still trying to figure out.
It’s awful as UX but I guess it’s a workaround… I just share through the Flow chat thing whatever I might need.

Oh man, just spent a half day migrating to Opera. Loving it. Hit the unbelievable no sync on iOS wall. What year are we in? Byyyyeee Opera.

Please implement a sync option. Not having the functionality when other browsers do does nothing to increase Opera's market share.

At the moment even My Flow isn't working between Opera on iOS and desktop version. It's such a shame.

Absolutely insane. I love the desktop version but without sync there's no point in keeping it on my Macs. Back to Vivaldi for me.

Think it's been expressed enough but just for the sake of adding my +1 (assuming Opera even reviews their forum), this is a must. Won't be switching over to Opera until this is a feature.

Just went through setting up Opera for desktop and ios devices only to find it can't sync bookmarks between devices? How embarrassing for them. But hey, check out the AI lol

Been testing Opera as my main browser on my Mac for a few weeks and really liked it. Now I find I can't set it up and sync settings on my iPhone, well that's a deal breaker.
This is a real problem, they need to get this sorted, I'll have to go back to Safari until they get this done which is a shame because Safari looks really dated in comparison to Opera. -

@paul-v1 The existing Opera for iOS was like a version of Opera Touch for Android but based on Safari. Now that Apple has been forced to open iOS to alternative browsers, I'm not sure if the company has plans to release a full browser for iOS in place of or even in parallel with the existing shell over Safari.. And not being an iPhone/iPad user, I probably won't know until they make a public announcement.

@ede-cal do you have a pc? If then, sync on the pc then login to your account on mobile

What he means is while there is no Sync option, you can still connect to sync.opera.com and have access to at least your bookmarks and speed dial there.

It's tragic that this still isn't the case. This makes the browser practically unusable.

To say something contrarian here: But I definitely like how the iOS works. I don't need this full scale synchronization feature on my iPhone, on the contrary. But I think, that's just a matter of taste then.

@xet-vergil there is no login option with Opera on iOS (just downloaded to actual version)

@matthias-at-the-opera Yes, if you are looking for something like in the Android version. There is no „real“ synchronization feature for iOS.
But still there‘s My Flow which not only syncs items but also some further things from history. But you can hardly call that sync, actually.
And secondly you can sign in for using this forum and for using Aria directly in this app.
Most people don‘t understand, that Opera‘s synchronization works quite differently on the whole, even if you sync two desktop versions. -

@leuchtfeuer812 but if “most people don’t understand”, then the problem likely isn’t “most people” - it’s the product.

@leuchtfeuer812 It's a very incomplete sync, no matter what you know or learned.
