Wow, it's been two weeks and nobody thinks this issue should be fixed?
How can I revert Opera to version 75? I looked everywhere in the settings and can't find how to do it. -

It's not just "not working" they have removed the option from the menu completely when right clicking on the tabs, "reopen last closed tab" was an option, now it doesn't even exist.
Why has this been removed and replaced with this useless "Reopen last closed Window"

The problem affects all versions 76.* till the current latest version 76.0.4017.123.
"Reopen last closed tab or window" does not work after version 75.*
Before that i think it was called "Reopen last closed tab" only and it was working just fine. I've used it everyday. Now this function is not working properly and it is useless, as the other users already confirmed.
It does not reopen tabs, instead it opens random previously closed windows - no tabs are opened at all.JusT ShakE iT!

Currently, the error seems to be fixed, so I don't think there is a big problem writing Opera.
The biggest reason to use "Reopen Tab" is when you accidentally reopen a closed tab.
But now when checking for errors, it has been changed to reopen the last closed window or tab instead of reopening the window first.
My current version is 76.0.4017.123, so I'm not sure if the error is fixed. -

It's not fixed here, there's not even the option in the right click menu to reopen last closed tab that used to exist. So hardly fixed when the menu is now totally missing the option.

@leocg Sorry but I've been using the right click method to access the reopen last closed tab for ages now and there is NO option for this any more
Please underline the reopen last closed tab in this image taken 2 mins ago as I sure as hell cannot see it. There's no "reopen tab" only the "reopen last closed window"

@user457 Ctrl + Shift + T here opens the last closed tab. Try resetting keyboard shortcuts.

When I do Ctrl + Shift + T, a new window opens instead of the last closed tab. Moreover, the page opened in that window is not the last closed page. I checked the shortcuts in settings, no problem appears. But the problem persists, I couldn't solve it. This problem has existed for the past few weeks, I wonder if anyone knows the solution?

Now, on the place of this item, when you right-click the tab, there is only Reopen last closed window. Opera 76.0.4017.123
What happened here?

It's just a known bug that's being analyzed and worked on. Hopefully we'll see a fix soon.

same problem. Should I wait for a fix? Or will it be the same as creating scoped_dir *** folders? ignored for several years

At last this is fixed in the menu.
Now got the correct "Reopen Last Closed Tab" instead of the "Last Window" in the right click menu.
Not sure when this actually happened, but I noticed it was back and working correctly yesterday (22/05/2021)
Thank you for fixing this.

Suddenly all is good here with respect to this problem! There was not even an Opera update. How did that happen? Can/does Opera correct their software even without an update?
I am using Opera on Linux/Chromebook.
UPDATE:
Well, it was working briefly this morning after performing this command in Linux Terminal " sudo apt update && sudo apt dist-upgrade ", and then it reverted to the broken/troubled state as described in this thread after closing Opera and then reopening Opera later. Very strange!
UPDATE 2:
It seems after closing and reopening Opera, the problem returns. If I run this command in Linux Terminal " sudo apt update && sudo apt dist-upgrade " after closing Opera and before reopening Opera, there is no problem with respect to Recently Closed Tabs displaying properly in Opera.
