Topic to discuss general and generic problems with Sync in Opera GX

I am trying to leave chrome behind and I fell in love with Opera GX, but no matter what I do it will not sync. I am logged just fine to my opera account but when I bookmark something it wont sync into my opera account.

If I go into my sync list in the opera page it does not show any opera gx bookmarks. Normal Opera works fine, but GX wont sync at all.

Any help

@revcr Go to opera://settings/syncSetup and see if bookmarks are enabled.

Also, do the same thing on Normal Opera and compare the settings.

Hello everyone, i install opera gx in other pc, when i login with mi user (Opera) does not synchronize mi tabs opens, i go to accounts options and the features are enable ¿somebody can explain me how resolve this problem? thx

@sarkanox So you click on the tabs icon in sidebar and can't see your opened tabs from other synced devices?

t's impossible that there is no solution for it almost 2 years!!!

I had to update my laptop which meant that i had to reinstall Opera GX. And i cant seem to Sync my data. I logged into my account and all of my bookmarks are missing. I click the sync button to sync any previous data and it gives me nothing. Please i need help i had over 200 bookmarks.

@staples So there's nothing in opera://bookmarks? If so, does the board on the right of opera://sync-internals say that bookmarks sync is running?

@kermitslawyer i'm also running into this problem now, checking the protocol log at opera://sync-internals reveals a "SERVER_RETURN_TRANSIENT_ERROR", and for some reason for me the whole https://www.sync.opera.com webpage doesn't load at all. no idea if this was triggered by the gx update or if opera's experiencing difficulties

Does not sync opera gx, bookmarks, passwords, etc. It stays loading.

@kermitslawyer Then it's a network issue or a site issue most probably.

Here the page loaded fine.
