[Solved]YouTube Share by Email Opens Opera

I recently installed Opera as a secondary browser on my Macbook, but when I went to YouTube and tried to email a video using the "share" button below the video, I was directed that Opera would open.
I looked in my settings and Opera is not my default browser. Looking online I cannot find a solution for this, but it could be that I don't know what to ask.
Does anyone have a solution?

@thammerlund Check which program is set to handle the mailto protocol and change it if necessary.

It would be great if Opera did not change the default.
