I've been a faithful OPERA user for quite a while, even talking friends and family into using it, for the many features so well discussed in length on this Forum.

I've tried '23' on MY computer, and have made it work for me. Not too comfortably, but definitely Usable.

Do you think OSLO really was 'painted into a corner'...12.17 un-retrievable, 23.0 a necessity [to stay in browser business]? I have looked far and wide and with the exception of a Snail-Mail address for Opera Software, I cannot find any way to communicate with them. I would have thought a good business idea would have been to publish an official statement, stating their need to change, and [hopefully] any plans for moving PAST the Chrome [Chromium?] platform to incorporate the features near and dear to [some] of our hearts?

I see nothing new to comment upon; just hoping someone can give some kind of fact based idea regarding what Oslo actually knows is happening, out here on the Web...

Two of the better ways of communicating with Opera is via the blogs and following them on Facebook. You can make your views known there as well as get more of a feel for where the company is going.

'Press Contact'....I had seen that, but not being 'press', I thought that was inappropriate.

Don't do Facebook; wonder what 'blogs' you refer to?

Still seems odd to not have such important news information so hard to find...

            Thanks, anyway for the replies...

At the top of this page you will see beside the words "Opera forums" a button with three parallel lines. If oyu mouse over that button a drop-down menu appears. Half way down that menu you'll see "Blogs". Click on that and it will take you to them. Blogs are visited by developers and company officials far more often than these forums. In addition, blogs allow you to interact with the developers and make your requests better known. The forums are generally to help users resolve problems with their browser and/or email client.

Thanks for the 'blog access' tip. Lotta stuff there! It still amazes me that [it seems] you can't E-Mail OPERA Software in the same fashion you can...MicroSoft, etc. 'Things are the way they are for a reason', and maybe Opera Company doesn't want kibbitzers right now!

As I said, I am running 23.0 OK, remembering to do a little manual 'cleaning up' each evening. BUT...I will leave the Family and Friends that run Opera 12.17 alone!
