I can set a specific page on Startup but can not specify a specific page for a new tab. All I get is the Opera Speed Dial. Yes there is an add-in but that is annoying and should not be needed. It should be a setting. This is the main reason that I do not us Opera Browser on my computers. While I do use it on my Tablets and Phones. While the Speed Dial is pretty good and I use it on the Tablets and Phones I prefer to use the Chrome Group Speed Dial Extension on the computers and the startup page/tabs is set to:

      chrome-extension://imfeikbeimbfpmgfkkmjekabdehiiajc/dial.html

I can use this extension on Chrome, Firefox, and Envy. And I can easily keep the Dials in sync. Why not Opera.

      Please fix Opera.

@GPowell Opera doesn't support setting custom new tab.

You basically are correct but you need to. And you need to support the same as the specified Start Page defined in settings as part of on startup settings. Instead having to use the add-in.

@GPowell You can request it but no, they don't need to implement it if they don't want to.

And that setting is just to set a page or group pages to be automatically opened when Opera starts. It has nothing to do with the old concept of start page, very common in browsers in last century and even on beginning of this one.
