Opera crashes consistently on launch; this has happened for the last 2 or 3 days.

I am running Opera 73.0 on macOS Big Sur 11.0.1. My Mac is set to update automatically, so I am not sure if this is related to an update.

I click the Opera icon in my dock, Opera opens and shows a blankish page briefly with a message saying "Opera has recovered from a crash,", crashes again, restarts, and repeats 2 or 3 times.

I reinstalled Opera, but that did not resolve the issue.

      😞

@elkit I've been having the same issue after upgrading to 11.0.1 on my M1 Mac. I tried Opera Beta and Opera Developer as well, but those started having the same problem. Did anything work for you?

@jayakerkolli3 no, nothing. I installed another minor macOS update, and deleted and redownloaded and installed Opera, but it keeps doing the same "I have recovered from ... oops!" dance.

I just switched back to my "work browser," Safari, for now.

I'm still on Mojave, tried to use the latest update of Opera, a few windows opened, all Opera ones, then within a couple minutes it all froze, ran up 100% of CPU usage, and I had to force quit it to close. This has what I've been dealing with for the past few upgraded versions. No matter what I do, I can't get it to just work! No problems like this with any other browser I use, just Opera. So frustrating, as I would like to use it, but it's become completely dsyfunctional.
